Obituary Dana K. Barber, 67, of Peoria Heights, passed away at 12:25pm Tuesday December 1, 2015 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Dana was born October 19, 1948 in Clovis, NM to Homer and Dora Lee Stout. She married Alvin "Ken" Barber on December 20, 1964 in Peoria. Surviving is her husband, Al; children, Kenneth (Michelle) Barber of Peoria, Tara Barber of Bellevue, Brent (Amy) Barber of Lexington; grandchildren, Cassidy Phillips, Erika Barber, Chase Phillips, Caleb Barber, Kennedey Barber, Carolina Thaller, Lane Nelson, Zach Nelson, Braeden Barber, Brycen Barber, and Brody Barber; great-grandkids, Gabe Thaller and Skylar Thaller; mother, Dora Stout; and siblings, Homer (Sharon) Stout and Jean Ann Brophy. She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Jim Stout. Dana served on the Peoria Heights School Board and was an active member of the PTO. She proudly worked as a teacher's aide for Easter Seals. She also worked as an aide at SEAPCO for 20 years. Her family was most important to Dana. She was a wonderful, devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. The family will receive guests at a casual celebration of life from 12:00pm-3:30pm, Saturday December 5, 2015 at VFW Post 2602 in Peoria Heights.
