Obituary Dalynn Kay (Bitner) Brown of Washington, IL, formerly of Miami, FL for 35 years, left this world at 5:35 AM September 1, 2017, at her home surrounded by loved ones. Dalynn was born April 6, 1961 in Peoria, IL to Donald Bitner and Helen Ford-Bitner. She grew up in Trivoli and attended Farmington High School, graduating in 1979. Following high school, she attended Illinois Central College. During her last year there, she was involved in a co-op at Caterpillar, and a recruiter was so impressed by her work that he recommended her for a computer programming position at Florida Power and Light. She moved to Miami in 1982 and worked as an IT Programmer Analyst Principal at FPL for 30+ years where she was a beloved employee. She leaves behind many good friends in Miami. She was an avid reader and list-maker, and had a knack for organizing; she was also involved in pool and bowling leagues and was a Junior Graduate Regent for the Kendall Lakes Moose Lodge 2086. Dalynn was a fun-loving, sweet, smart person who charmed everyone she met. Dalynn was married to Ross Brown on 8/8/08, and she was welcomed into his family with open arms. Dalynn and Ross enjoyed traveling together and spending time with family, watching TV and listening to music, and exchanging playful banter. Dalynn's mother, Helen Ford Bitner, father Donald Bitner, and step-mother Donna Ashwood Bitner, all preceded her in death. She is survived by her husband, Ross Brown; his children, Derek of Denver, Co.; Matthew (Liz) of Newburgh New York; and their three grandchildren Madison, Matthew Junior, and Sloane. She is also survived by two sisters, Donna (Willard) Behrends, of East Peoria, IL; Debra (Mike) Wood, of Bartonville, IL; her brother David (Debbi) Bitner, of Peoria, IL; stepsisters Donita Maccanelli of Farmington, Theresa (Todd) Pahl of Canton; Susan Oltman of Farmington; and step-brother Craig McAdams of Lewistown; four nieces Annette (Josh) Moore of CO; Rachel (Jon) Omerod of IL; Tristin (Don) Love of FL; Stephanie Behrends of IL; and nephew Adam (Jami) Wood of IL; and great nieces Leah and Lily Omerod, Holiday Rose Love; and great nephews Jaxon and Abe Wood. Dalynn's funeral service will be at 6:00pm Wednesday, September 6, 2017 Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Illinois Cancer Center in Peoria, IL.
