Obituary
EAST PEORIAa"Dale L. Clague, 85, of 500 Centennial Drive, East Peoria, died at 5:35 AM on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at Riverview Manor Care in East Peoria. Born on November 19, 1922 in LaFayette, IL to Harry and Ruth Winters Clague, he married V. Jo Lintner on October 14, 1947 in Chandlersville, IL. She survives. Also surviving is one son, David Clague of Morton, IL; 2 granddaughters, Erin Clague of Delavan, IL, and Abby Clague of Pekin, IL; and 2 sisters, Marie Lavric of Chicago, IL, and Hazel (George) Pahlow of Galva, IL. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandson, Alex, 1 sister, Darlene, and 1 brother, Donald. Dale was a US Navy Veteran, serving during World War II. He served as a four-year apprentice at Caterpillar Tractor Co. before becoming a Buyer in the Purchasing Department, and was the first active employee to receive a 50-year pin. Following retirement from Caterpillar, Dale worked for Decatur Custom Tool for 15 years in East Peoria. He was a 50-year member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Peoria, and was a member of the Mohammed Temple Shrine. He attended First United Methodist Church in East Peoria, where he was active in the Men's Club. He was also active in the Friends of Fatherless Boys. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 17, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria. The Rev. Dr. Alan Newhall will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home from 10-11 on Monday. Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria, where military rites will be accorded.
