Obituary

A loving mother and aunt, Cynthia A. Yehl, went home to Jesus on August 25, 2022.

Born on August 20, 1946 to F. Mae and George Bayler Jr., she married George Yehl on August 29, 1964 at St. Patrick Church in Washington. She was preceded in death by her husband George "Bubby", her parents, sister, Nancy Glass, and brothers Jim Bayler and Gary Bayler.

Cynthia is survived by her son, Michael (Vicky) Yehl of Pensacola, FL, her sister Vicky Houze of Washington, IL, 2 brothers George Baylor of Peoria, IL and Bill Bayler of Washington, IL, 3 nephews whom she and George raised, Chris (Kira) Morrison, Nate (Ali) Morrison, and Matt (Tiffany) Morrison, 2 grandsons, Cody and Jarrett, and many other nieces and nephews.

Cynthia received her Associate Degree from Illinois Central College and worked for Del Farm and Thompson's Food Basket as a meat wrapper until the time of her retirement.  She raised four boys, who were her pride and joy.

She was a member of Sacre Coeur Catholic Church in Creve Coeur before joining Blessed Sacrament Church in Morton.

A funeral service will be at 11 am Tuesday, August 30, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  Msgr. Jerry Ward will officiate.  Visitation will be from 9-11 am Tuesday at the funeral home.  Burial will be in Fondulac Cemetery in East Peoria.
