Obituary EAST PEORIA--Cynthia Nguyen Tackmann of East Peoria unexpectedly passed away at her residence on Sunday the 22nd of March, 2009. She was born February 3, 1958 in Pontiac, IL, a daughter of Ulrich and Patricia Quitschau. She is survived by her mother of East Peoria; 2 daughters, Amy Nguyen of East Peoria and Lisa Nguyen Riggins (John Dupont) of Las Vegas, NV; her former husband and good friend, Paul Tackmann of Peoria; 2 brothers, Richard (Coral) Quitschau of Trivoli and Michael (Karen) Quitschau of East Peoria; her sister, Stacie Christensen of East Peoria; 2 nieces, 3 nephews and one honorary nephew; and a vast extended family. She was godmother to 4 children. She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents and 2 children, which she had miscarried. In the past, Cindy's interests were teaching Sunday school at her church, St. Peter's Lutheran Church of East Peoria, volunteering for the Peoria Ballet Company, working for Lutheran Social Services of Illinois and American Country Crafts in Pekin. Her more recent interests were devoting time to her nieces and nephews, as well as her rescue cats. A memorial service will be at 11 AM on Thursday, March 26, 2009 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in East Peoria. Rev. Kurt Mews will officiate. Inurnment of cremated remains will follow the service at Roberts Cemetery in Morton. Visitation will be held that evening from 5:30-7:30 PM at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria.
