Obituary WASHINGTON-Craig S. Gonia, 46, of Washington, IL died at 9:11 AM Thursday, February 20, 2014 at Barnes Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born on May 3, 1967 in Milwaukee, WI to Dennis R. and Ruthann Cichucki Gonia, he married his long time companion Rebecca Norris on July 21, 2010 in Indianapolis, IN; she survives. Also surviving are 3 children, Zoe McIntosh, Aidan McIntosh, and Ella Gonia; his mother, Ruthann Gonia; and 2 brothers, Scott (Linda) Gonia and Timothy Gonia, all of Washington; and many other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Craig was a business analyst for State Farm Insurance. Born in Wisconsin, he was a lifelong fan of the Packers and everything else associated with Wisconsin. Craig was a member of St. Patrick Church in Washington and the Knights of Columbus Father John Menco Council #6707 in Washington. He was also a long time member of N.A. and A.A. Funeral Mass will be at 10 AM Monday, February 24, 2014 at St. Patrick Church in Washington. Father Steve Willard will officiate. Visitation will be from 2-5 PM Sunday, February 23, 2014 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Private burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
