Constance "Connie" Minch, 87, of Washington, passed away at 12:53pm Wednesday, December 25, 2019 at her home. She was born February 27, 1932 in Alton, IL to James Alvin Sawyer and Arvetta Marie Haney. She married Milton E. Minch in Pekin on August 16, 1984. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2011. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Mark; and one sister, Jeannie. Surviving are four children, Connie (Joe) Waugh of Peoria, Curt (Bonnie) Burroughs of Washington, Becky (Chuck Koch) Clark of Peoria, Mike (Jeanne) Burroughs of Peoria; step-son, Mike Minch of Washington; and seven grandchildren. Connie worked at Macs and C.C. Fullers. She was an avid reader, loved her crosswords, and to crochet. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Jude or Illinois CancerCare.
