Obituary Constance "Connie" Jones, 93, of East Peoria, passed away at 4:25 pm Saturday, June 10, 2017 at Unity Point Methodist Hospital in Peoria. She was born June, 6, 1924 in Fall River, MA to William S. and Beatrice Derbyshire Ormerod. They preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by 1 brother, 1 sister and 1 granddaughter. Surviving are 3 children, Lois (Willis) Runyon, Sharon (Homer) Flowers, Rich Jones; 4 grandchildren, Rodney, Vickie, Tammy, Phil; 8 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Gladys Dewar, Judy (Curt) Fisher; special friend, Scott Johnson; and several nieces and nephews. Connie worked for several area businesses before retiring from the City of Peoria. She was a member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in East Peoria, where her Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 30, 2017 at 6 pm with Pastor Fred Doughty and Pastor Gary Ford officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to her church.
