Obituary Conner E. McTaggart, 16, of Eureka, passed away on Sunday, August 16, 2015 at his home. Conner was born on July 17, 1999 in Crown Point, IN to Todd and Heather Schroeder McTaggart. Surviving are his parents; two brothers and best buddies, Keaton and Kaden; paternal grandparents, Paul and Linda McTaggart of Watseka; maternal grandparents, Russell Schroeder of Watseka and Linda Schroeder of Washington; two uncles, Kirk (Christine) McTaggart of Watseka and Adam (Dagmara) Schroeder of Champaign; one aunt, Casie (the late, Brent) McTaggart of Watseka; and many cousins and friends. Conner took great pride in his position as defender with the Morton Blaze and Peoria Notre Dame soccer teams. He was awarded several sportsmanship awards during his soccer career. Most recently he was lifeguard at Five Points Washington, and was proud to have saved a little boy there. He graduated from St. Patrick School and was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. A funeral Mass for Conner will be held at 11:00am, Friday, August 21, 2015 at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. Father Stephen Willard, Father Julius Turyatoranwa, and Father Adam Stimpson will officiate. Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00pm, Thursday, August 20, 2015, with a prayer service at 7:00pm at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Interment will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington. Memorial contributions may be made to Salem 4 Youth or St. Patrick School.
