Obituary Clyde Melvin Fisher, 73, of Washington, IL, died at 3:13 am Friday, April 27, 2012 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. Born on May 11, 1938 in Sedalia, MO to Lewis and Ruth Sibbles Fisher, he married Norma Jane Graack on April 6, 1958 in Minonk, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 2 children, Kevin (Valerie) Fisher of Stoughton, WI and Michele Chioni of Washington, IL, 1 sister, Nina Liming of Bloomington, IL, and 4 grandchildren, Ryan, Megan, Ashley, and J.P. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, and his stepfather, Fred Vogel. Clyde served with the US Army Reserves. He worked at Caterpillar Tractor Co for 36 years, last working as a Tax Analyst, and retiring on December 23, 1992. He was a charter member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington where he served as an Elder, a Sunday school teacher, and on various committees. He was an avid fisherman, Green Bay Packer fan, former Milwaukee Braves fan, and loved his grandchildren dearly. The family is grateful and wishes to thank the Washington Fire and Rescue Squad for the services they provided to Clyde over the past few years. Services for Clyde will be at 10 am Tuesday, May 1, 2012 at Our Savior Lutheran Church in Washington. Pastor Thomas L. Heren will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Monday, April 30, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington, with additional visitation from 9-10 am Tuesday at the church.
