Claudia Irvin, 79, of Toulon, IL, formerly of Washington, IL, passed away at 7:43 PM Monday, September 24, 2018 at UnityPoint Health Methodist in Peoria, IL. Born on February 22, 1939 in Peoria to Michael John and Beulah Herman Harnung, she married Robert C. Irvin on April 7, 1962 in Washington. He preceded her in death on June 5, 2016 in Toulon. Surviving are 2 daughters, Karin (Joe) Orwig of Toulon, IL and Kelly (Brandon) Robinson of Savannah, GA; 1 brother, John (Susan) Harnung of Bettendorf, IA; and 4 grandchildren, Michael Schott, Olivia Orwig, Nolan Orwig, and Mason Robinson. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Claudia worked for several years at Community Care as a home caregiver. She also volunteered for The Salvation Army and Toys for Tots. Claudia was a member of Sunnyland Christian Church in Washington. Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Pastor Evan Williams will officiate. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Private burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Sunnyland Christian Church or UnityPoint Hospice.
