Cindy Shaver, 61, of Washington, passed away at 3:38 pm Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Cindy was born on March 22, 1960 in Peoria to James O. and Joyce E. Gullett Ward. She married James M. Shaver on August 11, 1984 in Creve Coeur. Surviving are her husband, James of Washington; her parents, James and Joyce Ward of Washington; children, Mathew Shaver of Washington, Hayden (Nadia) Shaver of St. Louis; daughter-in-law, Julie Shaver of Wauconda; Nicholas (Carissa) Gorham of Tremont, grandchildren, Alexis and Stella; siblings, Julie (Tom) Lewis of Kentucky, Sharon (Scott) Spillman of Seattle, Rick (Kelley) Ward of East Peoria, and Sandy (Joe) Davis of Washington and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, James. She and her husband are members of the 309 Jeepsters and enjoyed their time with their group on the trails. Cindy cherished her time when she was surrounded by her children, grandchildren and the rest of her beloved family. A memorial service will be held at 2:00pm Saturday, April 17, 2021 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor James Frye will officiate. Family will receive friends afterwards, from 4-6:00pm Saturday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
