Obituary CONGERVILLE- Cindy Salvati, 59, of Congerville passed away on Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 4:24 a.m. at OSF St. Francis Medical Center. Cindy was born on April 9, 1954 in Kewanee to Leroy and Betty Bouton Mallery. She married the love of her life Mark Salvati on September 23, 1988 in Las Vegas NV. He survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Brooke Dana, 30, of Washington; two sons, Jason Dana ,28, of Edwards and Brandon (Lacey) Salvati ,32, of Peoria; her mother, Betty Mallery of Kewanee; three siblings, Terry (Crystal) Mallery of Kewanee, Jean Strom of Galesburg and Wendy (Paul) Holman of Abington; and one granddaughter, Ava Salvati. She was preceded in death by her father. Cindy was a 1973 graduate of Kewanee High School. She has been an active employee with Caterpillar for 35 years, working as an IT Specialist and Team Lead. She was employed at the East Peoria facility, building AD, last working Tuesday. Cindy spent her free time outdoors where she loved gardening, fishing, riding motorcycles and racing Mustangs. She enjoyed being in her kitchen and trying out new recipes. Her favorite place to vacation was Ft. Myers, FL where she loved being on the beach. One of her most cherished past times was spending time with her granddaughter Ava and making hair bows. A service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 17, 2014, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria; Pastor Howard Love will officiate. A visitation will be from 4-6 p.m Sunday, March 16, 2014 at the funeral home. There will also be a visitation a half hour prior to the service on Monday. Cremation rites will be accorded following services. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G Komen For The Cure.
