Christine "Chris" Elizabeth Thomas, 55, of Washington, passed away on Sunday, February 2, 2025 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

Chris was born on August 9, 1969 in Findlay, OH to Mary (MacDonald) and William Sloman. They survive.

She married William "Bill" McDowell in Pekin, IL on August 11, 2020. He survives.

Chris is also survived by her daughters, Breanna (Austin) Batterton of Morton, and Abigail Thomas of Washington; her sister, Kathy Sloman-Bolander of East Peoria; and several nieces and nephews.

Chris worked at OSF St. Francis Medical Center for over thirty years, last working in the Behavioral Health Unit as a referral specialist. In her spare time, Chris enjoyed interior decorating and games. She was known to play her fair share of card games, mobile games, and board games. Her favorite time was spent with those she loved most, her family. She will be dearly missed and loved.

Cremation rites have been accorded.
