Cheri L. Harsh, 70, of Washington passed away at her home on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.  Cheri was born on February 26, 1956, in East Peoria, the daughter of the late Gale and Helen (Quinley) Ekstrand.  Cheri worked as a cosmetologist and helped her daughter as owner and operator of Michelle & Company Salon, later she worked for many years at Ross in East Peoria.  Cheri was an animal lover but most of all she lived for her family and adored her granddaughters.

Cheri is survived by her daughter Michelle Wagner of Washington, her granddaughters; Brynn Martin, Brianna, and Brooke Wagner, her brother Dan (Betty) Ekstrand of Peoria, a niece Kim (James) Sturch of Pekin, and a son-in-law Jason Wagner of East Peoria.

To honor Cheri's wishes, cremation rites will be accorded by the Deiters Funeral Home in Washington.  A private family service will be held at a later date.

Those who wish may leave memorials in Cheri's name to TAPS Animal Shelter.
