Chase Shawn Edwards, 44, of Washington, IL, whose faith was in the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, went home to our Lord and Savior on Sunday May 29, 2022.

He was born on June 18, 1977 in Peoria, IL to David A. and Patti Bechtel Edwards.  His father preceded him in death.

Surviving are his mother, Patti Bechtel, of Peoria, IL, 1 son, Alec Edwards and 1 daughter, Lola LaBonte, both of Washington, IL, his girlfriend, Nancy Biagini of Washington, IL, 2 brothers, David (Leanne) Edwards of Washington, IL and Joe (Jessica) Olson of Sherman, IL, nieces and nephews, Kaylie Davis (Noah Webb), Aubrey Edwards, David Edwards, Austin Olson, Brock Olson, and Cody Olson, a great-nephew and niece, Ebin and Willow Webb, and his beloved pets, Gabe, Butler, and Tiva.

Chase was a self-employed, highly skilled tradesman who was masterful in carpentry and interior remodeling.  He enjoyed volunteering for the Dream Center and many other Christian Outreach programs in Peoria including Budded Mattah, a local Christian Gardening Project, and Peoria Music Live, where he assisted with remodeling of the facilities.

He enjoyed disc golf, hiking, spending time with family and friends and any adventure he could find.  He was passionate about music, attended hundreds of concerts, and enjoyed supporting local live music.

A Celebration of Life for Chase will be held from 3-6 pm Saturday, June 18, 2022 at Sunnyland #1 Stop, 2466 Washington Rd., Washington, IL.  A prayer service will be held at 3:15 pm followed by a light meal and fellowship, and live music beginning around 4:30 pm.  Cremation rites have been accorded.  Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with the arrangements.
