Charlotte M. Cerny, 91, of Washington, IL, formerly of Homosassa, FL, passed away at 3:03am Saturday, December 18, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL.

Charlotte was born May 2, 1930 in Princeton, WI to the late Arthur and Leona Prachel Luedtke. She married Michael T. Cerny on July 23, 1955 in Douglaston, NY; he preceded her in death on March 1, 2019.

Surviving are her children, Barbara A. (Bob) Sehring of Dahinda and Michael S. (Carole) Cerny of Port St. Lucie, FL; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and her sisters, Barb (Norm) Mashuda of Neshkoro, WI and Elaine Lashock of Raleigh, NC.

She was also preceded in death by her parents, brother, Ricky Luedtke and a brother-in-law, Dennis Lashock.

Charlotte worked as a Reservation Agent for Northwest Orient Airlines for several years, where she met her husband on a blind date. She later worked as a teacher's aide on Long Island, NY until retiring to Florida. She loved being near the water, especially at Green Lake in Wisconsin, and was a voracious reader. In addition to a lovely sense of humor, she was musically gifted, playing piano and cornet. She was an avid Green Bay Packer fan and also followed golf. Time spent with her family was most cherished.

A private gathering to celebrate and honor Charlotte will be held. Cremation rites have been accorded and inurnment will be at Princeton City Cemetery in Princeton, WI.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Supportive Living of Washington, where she lived for the last 8 years.
