Charles E. "Chuck" Moss, 85, of Washington, passed away Monday, October 23, 2023 at the OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria.

He was born December 9, 1937 in Lincoln, KS to the late Herbert M. and Dorthia F. (Hanson) Moss.  He was also preceded in death by son, Wayne; granddaughter, Jessica; and two brothers, Herbert and Robert.

He married Ida "Maggie" Collins on May 14, 1995 in Lake Tahoe, NV.  She survives.

Also surviving are four children, Debbie (Jack) Cruser, Barbara (Mark) Stilwell, Nona (Richard) Niemann, Dede Hoffman; ten grandchildren, Jake, Theresa, Josh, Jennifer, Corey, Ashley, Ben, Quaid, Paxton, and Jovie; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Larry (Pam) Moss; and sister, Gloria Jones.

Chuck worked for the O'Brien Automotive Team in Normal, retiring after 15 years of service.

He was a member of Crossroads Global Methodist Church in Washington.  He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed.

Cremation has been accorded.  A memorial service will be held at 2pm on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.
