Obituary Charles E. Butterworth, 82, of Washington, passed away at his home at 9:45 am Tuesday, May 31, 2016. He was born Nov. 6, 1933 in Oklahoma to Vernon and Pep Williams Butterworth. He married Shirley Ann Head in Peoria on June 15, 1957. She preceded him in death on Dec. 28, 1999. He was also preceded in death by his parents; 1 brother and 1 sister. Surviving are his daughter, Stephanie (Greg) Koch of Washington; son, Darrell Butterworth of Peoria; 3 grandchildren, Stacey (Rob) Herbig, Daniel Koch, Jennifer Koch and 3 great-grandchildren. Charles was a United States Air Force Korean War Veteran. He worked as a truck driver for Local #627 before retiring. He was a member of the Teamsters and loved trap shooting as a sport. Cremation has been accorded. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
