Obituary Charla G. Buckley, 63, of Washington, passed away at 11:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 22, 2016 at Washington Christian Village. She was born June 17, 1952 in Peoria to Edward and Genevieve Sutton Murphy Crotts. She married John F. Buckley Jr. on June 16, 1974. He preceded her in death on Sept. 14, 2013. She was also preceded in death by 3 brothers, Larry, William and her twin, Chuck. Surviving are her son, John (Sarah) Buckley of East Peoria; sister, Jennifer (Paul) Kannenberg of Morton; half brother, Tom (Jean) Crotts of Stronghurst; niece, Stacy Kannenberg, and several other nieces and nephews. Charla was a homemaker who loved spending time with her family and pets, and enjoyed watching television. Memorials may be made to TAPS Animal Shelter in South Pekin. Cremation rites have been accorded. Private services will be held. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
