Obituary WASHINGTON - Cathryn D. Bengert, 43, of Washington, died at 4:14 pm Thursday, April 3, 2008 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. Born on March 18, 1965 in Peoria, IL to Fred H. and Darlene K. Horn Rotermund, she married Dennis J. Bengert on August 15, 2003 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her parents of East Peoria, one stepdaughter, Shelbie F.M. Bengert and one stepson, Austyn J.J. Bengert, both of Delavan, IL, her mother-in-law Faith J. Purdue of Tallahassee, FL, 2 brothers, Fred H. (Julie) Rotermund of Danvers, IL and Jeremy D. Rotermund of Peoria, IL, 5 sisters, her twin, Janet M. (Donnie) Wagley of East Peoria, IL, Rochelle L. Rotermund and Diane L. Rotermund, both of Washington, IL Heidi S. (John) Olejnik of Peoria, IL and Jill E. (Sam) Taylor of Mahomet, IL, her sister-in-law, Amanda J. Bengert of Evansville, IN, and brother-in-law William J. Bengert of Chicago, IL, grandparents-in-laws, Joseph and JoAnn Durbin of Carbondale, IL, and many nieces and nephews. Cathryn was the Assistant Manager at Factory Card and Party Outlet for more than 5 years. She was an animal lover, providing a home to many animals and wishing she could help more. A memorial service will be at 6pm Thursday, April 10, 2008 at Roland Manor Baptist Church in Washington. The Rev. Steve Hardin will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-6 pm Thursday at the church. Cremation rites have been accorded. Deiters Funeral Home in Washington is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to A.R.K. (Animal Rescue Kennel) in Lacon or to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
