Obituary EAST PEORIA - Catherine Ruth Rometti, 85, of East Peoria, died at 4:00 PM Sunday, June 21, 2009 at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, IL. Born on September 8, 1923 in Kokomo, IN to William and Jennie Irelan Jewell, she married Frank L. Rometti Sr. on July 16, 1949 in Peoria, IL. He died on September 29, 2003 in East Peoria, IL. Surviving are 2 sons, Frank L. (Lynette) Rometti II and Kenneth L. (Barbara) Rometti, 1 daughter, Janet (Gregg) Adams, 1 brother, L. Richard (Beatie) Jewell, all of East Peoria, IL, 6 grandchildren, Angela (Ben) Vonderheide, Suzanne Rometti, Lee (Justin) Speichinger, Kathryn Rometti, Elizabeth (Bob) Coon, Nick (Stephanie) Adams, and 4 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 2 sisters, and 2 brothers. Catherine's caring nature will be fondly remembered by family and friends that she helped through difficult times. Services for Catherine will be private. She has donated her body to medical science. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
