Obituary East Peoria - Carole A. Wells, 78, of East Peoria and formerly of Rockford, died at 1:35 PM on Friday August 2, 2013 at her residence. She was born on November 10, 1934 in Stockton, IL to John and Nellie North Wickson. She married Lester Robinson on June 27, 1953 in Hawthorne, CA. She later married Ronald Wells on June 10, 1995 in Madison, WI. He preceded her in death on February 17, 2008 in Madison, WI. She was also preceded in death by two brothers; Howard and Robert Wickson and one son, John Robinson. Carole is survived by three daughters; Amy (Todd) Mullins of East Peoria, Diana Robinson of Inyokern, CA, Stacey (Bernard) Dunaux of Agoura Hills, CA, one son Lester Robinson Jr of Carson City, Nevada, one step-son, James Wells of Cambridge, WI, five grandchildren; Carly, Stephanie, Riley, Caroline, Julian and one great grand-son Ari. She is also survived by two brothers; Daniel Wickson of Beloit, IL and Charles (Nancy) Wickson of Rockford and four sisters; Betty (Frank) Fanara of Rockford, Rita (Richard) Stiffler of Roscoe, IL, Kay Larson of Yucca Valley, CA and Susan Osborne of Rockford. Carole worked for 40 years as a Medical Transcriptionist in both California and Wisconsin. She retired in 1998. She loved to watch birds outside her windows, read, sew and travel. She was a woman that regardless of what life dealt her, did so with grace and dignity. Always a smile on her face, and reserving her needs for others. She will be missed dearly by many. Cremation rites have been accorded. There will be a graveside service in Cambridge, WI at Lake Ripley Cemetery on September 7, 2013. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is handling arrangements.
