Obituary Washington - Carole Ann Levin, 66 of Washington, died at 10:30 PM on Friday July 19, 2013 at her residence. She was born on September 23, 1946 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Lawrence P. and Peggy Branstetter Long Jr. She married Donald Bennett Levin on February 14, 1970 in Davenport, Iowa. He preceded her in death on August 14, 2002 in Peoria. She was also preceded in death by her parents. Carole is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Levin of Washington and her son, Jeremy (Elizabeth) Levin of Peoria. Three grandchildren; Alexander, Gabriel and Halleigh Levin, two sisters; Karen Long MacLeod of Waukegan, IL and Lisa Long of Des Moines, Iowa and one brother in law, Paul Levin of Woodstock, IL also survive. Carole worked as a Phlebotomist for 26 years at American Red Cross in Peoria. She retired in 2008. She loved spending time with her family, cross-stitching and reading. Cremation rites have been accorded. Inurnment will be at a later date at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is handling arrangements.
