Obituary Washington- Carole Ruth Jones, 69, of Washington, passed away at 7:35 PM Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Carole was born on January 27, 1945 in Peoria to Warren and Ruth Stegall Marshall. She is survived by one daughter, Laura Kelley of Washington; an older brother, Gary (Jane) Marshall of Maui, HI; her triplet brothers, Dave (Mary)Marshall of Pekin and Dale Marshall of Peoria; three grandchildren, Angela Kelley, Joseph Kelley, and Michael Kelley; four nieces and nephews, Joe, Megan, Katie and Jon. Carole was preceded in death by her parents. She was a 1963 graduate of Washington Community High School. Carole worked for Caterpillar North American Dealer in the accounts receivables department until December 2013, serving 48 years with the company. Carole was a member of Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. She enjoyed camping with her family in years past, cross-stitching, and spoiling her beloved dog, Cajon. A funeral service will be held Monday, February 10, 2014 at 1 PM at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Pastor Dan Doty will officiate. A visitation will be two hours prior to the service, from 11AM-1PM. There will be a private interment at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Morton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Northern Tazewell Rescue Squad.
