Carol S. Keithly, 79, of Peoria, IL, died on Friday, February 2, 2024 at her home.

She was born on June 16, 1944 in Hannibal, Mo to Edwin and Evelyn Gould Keithly.

Surviving are 2 children, Kristy (Doug) Arnold of Peoria, IL and Brian K. O'Neill of Sahuarita, AZ, 2 grandchildren, Parker Rashid and Anna Rashid, both of Peoria, IL, three lifelong friends, Beth, Janice, and Gail, and her beloved cat, Lola, who is currently being fostered and is available for adoption.

She was preceded in death by her parents and 1 sister, Jane Pfleeger.

Carol graduated from Bradley University with her bachelor's and master's degrees.  After working for many years, Carol retired as the Director of Human Resources from the Peoria Park District.

There will be no services. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
