Obituary Carol A. Jackson, 54, of Washington, died at 11:22 AM, on Tuesday, June 6, 2006 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria, IL. She was born on July 29, 1951 in Downer Grove, Illinois to Ralph William and Dorothy Patch Herrmann. She married John J. Jackson on October 23, 1971 in Wheaton, IL; he survives. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Ralph Herrmann of Atlanta, GA, and Paul (Diana) Herrmann of Springfield, IL; 1 sister, Nancy Ware of Heber City, UT; and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents. She was working at Apostolic Christian Restmor in Morton as a nursing secretary, and had previous worked for Aetna Life and Casualty in Peoria as a Health Claim Auditor for 21 years. She was an avid Peoria Rivermen hockey fan, enjoyed her cats, gardening and was an antique collector. She also was a double liver transplant recipient in July and August of 1995. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 9, 2006 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. James Middleton will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM on Thursday, June 8, 2006 at the funeral home, where a Catholic prayer service will be held at 6:45pm. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery in Washington, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gift of Life Transplant House, 705 Second Street North, Rochester, MN 55902.
