Obituary EAST PEORIA - Carla E. Bienemann, 86, of Morton Villa, a former resident of East Peoria for 75 years, passed away Thursday, August 16, 2007 at Methodist Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on February 10, 1921 in Hamburg, Germany to Carl and Magdalena Kumsce Nagel. At age 11, she came to the United States to live with a great aunt, Mrs. R.L. Beohme. On February 23, 1946, she married Aldean R. Bienemann who preceded her in death on November 11, 1999. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Susie and Gary Skaggs of East Peoria; three grandchildren, Angie Skaggs and Mark Skaggs of East Peoria and David (Lisa) Skaggs of Sugar Land, TX, and seven great-grandchildren. A beautician by the age of 18, she owned and operated Forget-Me-Not Beauty Shop in East Peoria for many years and later worked at Bergners Salon in Peoria. Carla enjoyed cooking, canning and baking with everyone enjoying her results. She also was an accomplished seamstress and loved to tend her gardens. She was an active member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Peoria for over 50 years where she was a member of the Braille Program and the Alter Circle. Private family services will be conducted. Deiters Funeral Home in East Peoria is in charge of arrangements.
