Obituary WASHINGTON- Carissa E. Downey, 23, of Cabot, Arkansas, formerly of Washington, was pronounced dead on March 20, 2011 in Bald Knob, Arkansas. Carissa was born March 11, 1987 in Casper, Wyoming to Debra Lynn Glazebrook and Michael D. Downey. She is survived by her parents, Debra Glazebrook of Washington and Michael Downey of Bartonville; 2 sisters, Chelsea L. Downey of Hawaii and Cheree L. Downey of Washington; grandparents, Jim and Joanne Glazebrook of Peoria and Jarie Ford of Bloomington; 4 aunts Jeanine Hayward-Glazebrook of Schaumburg, Debby Downey of Bartonville, Carrie (Doug) Leathers of Towanda and Lisa Ford of Normal and many more aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Carissa was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clarence (C.L.) Ford, Dean and Viola Downey, and Nile and Donna Smith. Carissa was raised in the Washington area and attended Washington Community High School. A visitation will be from 1-2 pm Saturday, April 30, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington with a memorial service at 2 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Dinner from 2:30 - 5:30 at the American Legion Post 100 in Washington. Cremation rites have been accorded.
