Obituary WASHINGTON - C. LaVone "Barney" Ayler, 84, of Chillicothe, and formerly of Washington, died at 8:27 pm Monday, February 19, 2007 at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. Born on February 7, 1923 in Tuscola, IL to Ernest Haywood and Laura Belle Ewing Curry, she married Ralph E. Braun on July 23, 1941 in St. Louis, MO. He died on February 7, 1967. She later married Ozzie Zetterlind, he also preceded her in death. She then married Dean Ayler in May of 1989 in Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are 1 daughter, Mary Ann Wagner of Creve Coeur, IL, 4 sons, Ed (Netta) Braun Jr. of Bolibar, MO, Sam (Evelena) Braun of Pittsburg, MO, Jack (Angie) Braun of Mapleton, IL, and Jeff (Cris) Braun of Washington, IL, 1 brother, Bob (Eva) Curry of Homassa, FL, 16 Grandchildren, 12 Great-Grandchildren, and 7 Grt-Grt-Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 4 brothers. She was a previous member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Washington. A funeral services will be at 10:30 am Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. The Rev. Joseph P. Donton will officiate. Visitation will be from 9:30-10:30 am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton. Memorials may be made to St. Patrick School.
