Obituary
Bryon R. Rutledge, 64, of East Peoria died, surrounded by his loving family, at 4:40 PM Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Peoria.
Born on December 4, 1951 in Peoria to Robert A. and Norma J. Montgomery Rutledge, he married Phyllis D. Trau on May 2, 1970 in Peoria.
Surviving are his wife, 'Philly'; his father, Robert of Peoria; his motherainalaw, Dorothy (Yonkouski) Trau; one son, Joe (Debbie) Rutledge of Grayslake; two daughters, Chris (Mark) Mount and Angie (Justin) Bainter, both of Washington. His greatest joy in life was being with his grandkids and celebrating their accomplishments. Lexi, David, Ben, Ethan, Jensen and Ayla were blessed to have him as their 'Papa'. Also surviving are two sisters, March (Ken) Williamson of Texas and Karen (Chuck) Cross of Peoria and two brothers, Denny Rutledge and Roger Rutledge, both of Peoria. He was a loving sonainalaw, brotherainalaw, uncle, and friend to many and was of the Christian Faith. He was preceded in death by his mother and fatherainalaw, Richard. Bryon was a member of Heat and Frost Insulators Local 17 for over 40 years. He retired from M & O Insulation in 2009.
A visitation will be held from 4:00 - 6:45 PM Monday, March 14, 2016 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Following the visitation, the funeral service will be at 7:00 PM at the funeral home. A further celebration of life will be from 4:00 - 7:00 PM Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at Abbas Grotto in East Peoria.
