Brian Gale, 47, of East Peoria, passed away in Murphysboro, IL on Sunday, September 24, 2023.

He was born in Peoria, IL on November 14, 1975 to Leon and Donna (Light) Gale.  He married Janet L. Hinkley in Jamaica on March 17, 1999.  She survives.

Also surviving are his mother, Donna Gale; step-son, Shay Hinkley; son, Brendan Gale; two daughters, Morgan and Savanna Gale; three sisters, Angie (Shawn) Cope, Stephanie (Lonnie) Fuller, Jane (Lucas) Jacob; and brother, Charles (Lisa) Gale; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Brian was preceded in death by his father, Leon in July of 2023; and brother-in-law, Shawn Cope.

Brian worked at F.E. Moran South as the Vice President of Operations.  He was an avid outdoorsman, especially deer hunting and fishing and a super fan for the Chicago Cubs and Bears football. He was a member of the Farmington Sportsman Club. Brian had an infectious smile and never knew a stranger, he will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be from 10am to 12:30pm Saturday, September 30th followed by a funeral service at 1pm Saturday at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington.  Private burial will be at Hirstein Cemetery in Morton.
