Brent Cone, 40, of Washington, passed away at 7:44pm Saturday, August 27, 2022 at UnityPoint Health-Methodist after a well-fought battle with cancer.

Brent was born January 22, 1982 in Peoria to Thomas R. "Randy" and Elaine Hancock Cone. On May 12, 2007, he married Brittney Buskirk in Peoria.

Surviving are his parents, Randy and Elaine from Morton; his wife, Brittney of Washington; four children, Alyx, Izabella, Ryleigh, and Sawyer, all at home; three siblings, Keith Cone from Peoria, Anita (Daniel) England from Groveland, and Sheila Cone from Morton; grandma Bettye Cone from Morton; and a large and loving extended family.

He was preceded in death by four grandparents.

Brent grew up in Morton and graduated from Morton High School. He was active in soccer, show choir, madrigals, All State choirs, and theatre. He was an enthusiast of a wide range of music, attending many concerts. He pursued his passion for music and earned a degree from Union University. He had been employed by CHASE since 2007, serving as a branch manager. He loved sports, especially the Cardinals and Blackhawks.  He was a member of Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria and also attended Summit Point Church in East Peoria. Brent was a devoted family man and made strong connections with anyone he met. His enduring faith Jesus was made evident by his selfless and caring nature, even throughout his illness.

Brent's visitation will be from 5-7:00pm on Wednesday, September 7, 2022 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. His funeral service will at 11:00am Thursday, September 8, 2022 at Woodland Baptist Church in Peoria.
