Brenda Kay Pruett, age 76, passed away on October 15, 2026 in Plainfield, IL.

Brenda was born in Peoria, IL
to Kenneth and Kathryn Swearingen. She married Wayne Pruett of Dallas, Georgia on October 11, 1969 in Washington, IL.

She is survived by her children Mandy Pruett and Emily (and Darrell) Wiegand, her grandchildren Natalie and Paige Wiegand, her brother Brad (and Reta) Swearingen, and sister Janet (and Paul) Fruit.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 38 years Wayne L Pruett, her father and mother Kenneth and Kathryn Swearingen, and her brother Jimmy Swearingen.

She retired from the front desk of Morgan Stanley. Throughout her life, she was a Tupperware consultant, a Longaberger basket collector, an avid crafter, and an original member of a local BUNCO club. And she was known to have the gift of gab!

A private grave-side service will be held for family. A Celebration of Life will be at a later date.
