Obituary WASHINGTONa"Brandon "BJ" Fitzgerald, 26, of Washington died at 10:40 AM on Saturday, November 8, 2008 at his residence. He was born October 13, 1982 in Peoria to Bruce and Linda Liesman Fitzgerald. He is survived by his parents of Washington, along with his brother, Scott of Washington; his maternal grandmother, Marjorie Liesman of Middletown, IL; and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents and his maternal grandfather. BJ graduated from Washington Community High School in 2001 before earning his Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Southern Illinois University in 2006. After graduating, he lived in Chicago for a few years before returning to the area to work for Roecker Cabinets Inc. in Peoria. He loved to play music, and performed with several bands in the Chicago and Peoria area. BJ had many musical talents and was skilled with the guitar, keyboards and drums. BJ will always be remembered for his love, compassion and his good nature. A funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Wednesday, November 12 at St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Washington. The Rev John Bates will officiate. Visitation will be held from 4-8PM on Tuesday, November 11 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington.
