Obituary WASHINGTON-Roberta J. "Bobbi" Hibbard, 64, of Washington, IL passed away at 3:13 PM Monday, March 26, 2012 at her home surrounded by her family. Born on October 30, 1947 in Kewanee, IL to Robert and Geraldine Price Ballard, she married Gary "Toby" Hibbard on June 18, 1966 in Toulon, IL. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Chris Hibbard and Craig (Jill) Hibbard, both of Washington, IL; 2 sisters, Judy (Fred) Simpson of Inverness, FL and Linda (Ron) Zehr of Champaign, IL; six grandchildren, Ashley Hibbard of Batavia, IL, Taylor and Tara Hibbard of Peoria, IL, and Brody, Madelyn, and Mallory Hibbard, of Washington, IL; one great-grandchild; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Ron Blakey. Bobbi attended Woodruff High School in Peoria and graduated from Peoria High School. She also graduated from Hi Fashion Beauty College. Bobbi was the owner and operator of BJ's Leather Outlet in Washington during the 1990's. She worked at Caterpillar Logistics in Morton for 12 years, last working on December 30, 2011. Bobbi was a member of the Caterpillar Golf League, Abate of Illinois, Mount Hawley Women's Bowling League, and a variety of organizations in Washington and Peoria area. Her passion was playing golf with her golfing buddies and her husband. Bobbi was proud of the fact that she won the 2008 D-flight and 2009 C-flight Tri-County Women's Golf Championships. Most of all, she was most proud of her children and grandchildren and always treasured spending time with them. She always said that when "a child was born, so was a grandmother". Bobbi's family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at the Peoria Cancer Center, especially her favorite nurses, Stephanie and Shay. Bobbi touched everyone's heart who knew her. Cremation has been accorded and a memorial service will be 11:00 AM Friday, March 30, 2012 at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Washington. Pastor Tom Goodell will officiate. A memorial visitation will be from 5-7 PM Thursday, March 29, 2012 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington and 1 hour prior to services at the church on Friday.
