Obituary WASHINGTON-Robert C. "Bob" Burger Sr., 77, of Washington, Illinois died at 12:40 pm Monday, December 12, 2011 at his home. Born on August 22, 1934 in Petersburg, IN to Ray C. and Vicel E. Gilbee Burger, he married Judy A. Leurig on August 26, 1954 in Sparland, IL. She survives. Also surviving are 5 children, Robert C. (Donna) Burger Jr. of Metamora, Rebecca (Dan) Muffler of Seneca, Daniel (Wenonah) Burger of Tallahassee, FL, Jennifer (Roy) Gamber of Metamora, and Elizabeth (John) Binning of Bloomington; 10 grandchildren; 1 great-granddaughter; 1 sister, Deanna (Bill) Lindsay of Jasper, IN, and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 grandson, 1 brother, and 1 sister. Bob was a manager at Sears in Peoria and Pekin for 32 years. He was a gifted duck carver and was greatly loved by his children and grandchildren. Bob also loved his Lord. Funeral services will be at 10 am Friday, December 16, 2011 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington. Pastor Kerry Miller will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-7 pm Thursday, December 15, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in East Peoria.
