Obituary William R. "Bill" Chapman, 78, of Washington, passed away at 9:55am Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at OSF Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Bill was born January 11, 1939 in Mount Vernon to the late Oakley and Hazel Brewer Chapman. Surviving are two children, Jeff Chapman and Julie Callahan; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Bill worked for Sears in downtown Peoria for many years. He most recently worked as a salesman at Sam Leman. He loved the St. Louis Cardinals, cars, and golf. Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in Washington is assisting with cremation arrangements.
