Grosenbach
Mar 10, 1931 — May 13, 2024
Beverly J. Grosenbach, 93, of Washington, passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 at her home with her son.
She was born March 10, 1931 in Peoria to the late Walter H. and Ruth (Mitchell) Stodd. She married Kenneth S. Grosenbach on June 23, 1951. He preceded her in death in August of 2016; they shared 65 wonderful years together. They were devoted to each other and their family, always putting their family first.
Surviving are their children, Lynn (Bruce) Campen of Germantown Hills and Loni Grosenbach of Washington; grandson, Ethan Grosenbach of Washington; and her beloved granddog, Maxxx.
She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Lori Pryor and three brothers.
Beverly graduated from Woodruff High School. Over the years, she worked for White Westinghouse, Hall and North Shore Freight Lines, and lastly for 13 years with East Peoria Chiropractic until retiring in 1988.
She and Ken loved to camp, they spent lots of time at their campground after retirement, as well as taking family vacations. She enjoyed game nights, and playing the marble game and Rummikub. Bev loved a good vegetable garden and a good argument. She became a diehard Cubs fan, rarely missing a game, and recording any game she couldn't watch. Bev had an infectious laugh, loved her family, most of all going out to breakfast weekly with her grandson.
She was a wonderful and caring, wife, mom, grandma, and friend. We will miss her dearly.
Private services will be held. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memory Gardens in rural Morton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children, Carle Health Hospice Care, or Illinois CancerCare.
