Obituary WASHINGTON - Beverly Ann Frakes, 71, of 305 Pine Ridge Drive, Washington, died at 8:25 am Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at her home after a short battle with leukemia. Born on April 26, 1937 in Cobden, IL to Elijah and Nellie Harbaugh Bartsch, she married her beloved husband, Walter D. Frakes on May 27, 1955 in Peoria, IL. He survives. Also surviving are her mother, Nellie Brown of Washington, 1 son, Walter (Janet) Frakes and her twin daughter, Lori (Quint) Koehl and Lisa (John) Thieme, all of Washington, 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, her step-father, Doyle Brown, and her sister, Judy. Beverly enjoyed sewing and knitting, and belonged to many sewing clubs. She was of the Christian faith. A loving wife and mother, she will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her, and was highly regarded by her many longtime friends. Her grandchildren were very special to her, as she was to them. Services will be at 10 am Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Deiters Funeral Home in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm Friday, December 19, 2008 at the funeral home. Pastor Bob DeBolt will officiate. Burial will be in Glendale Cemetery in Washington. A celebration of Beverly's life will follow the service at Five Points in Washington. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital or to Washington Park District.
