Obituary Betty J. Sherman, 77, of Washington, IL, formerly of Peoria, IL, died at 9:37 am Thursday, August 12, 2010 at Washington Christian Village. Betty was born on April 27, 1933 in Rushville, IL to Mary and Ivan Icenoggle and was raised by Sam and Susan Marinch. They preceded her in death. She married Charles J. Sherman in June of 1954 in Peoria, IL. He also preceded her in death in 1997. Surviving are 1 daughter, Debbie Sherman and 1 son, Rick Sherman both of Washington, IL. Betty waitressed at local restaurants and last worked at J.C. Penney. Cremations rites will be accorded, and there will be no visitation or services. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is assisting the family with arrangements.
