Obituary Betty Lou Elmore, 79, of Washington, passed away at 9 p.m. Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Fondulac Rehab and Health Care Center in East Peoria. She was born August 27, 1936 in Monticello, KY to Gamlan and Verde Smith. She married David L. Elmore in 1960. He preceded her in death on January 23, 2013. She was also preceded in death by 2 sons, Jimmy and Johnny; 2 grandchildren; 3 sisters and 2 brothers. Surviving are 3 children, Terry (Violet) Elmore of Washington, Mark (Carolyn) Elmore of Mackinaw, Sheila (Steven) McCornack of Aurora; 5 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and 1 sister, Edith Hamm of Pekin. Betty was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family. Memorials may be made to T.A.P.S. Betty's Funeral Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be one hour before services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Lakeside Cemetery in Pekin.
