Obituary EAST PEORIA - Betty Jean Earle, 87, of East Peoria passed away at 3:32 a.m. Thursday, July 3, 2014, at her residence.Betty was born on January 2, 1927, in Detroit, Mich., to Harvey William and Ollie Mae Perkins Koch. She married Arthur Earle Jr. on April 6, 1946, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He passed away on Jan. 13, 2006.Surviving are her three sons, Michael (Janis) Earle of Mapleton, Daniel (Teresa) Earle of East Peoria and Timothy Shawn (Jacqueline) Earle of Mapleton; grandchildren, Michele Earle, Kevin (Kimberly) Earle, all of Washington, and Melissa Earle and Andrew Earle, both of East Peoria; great-grandchildren, Rachel Look, Alex Look, Abigail Sample, Colin Earle and Caleb Earle, all of Washington; and two nephews.She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; and one sister, Faye Gregston.Betty worked at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, Ky. She later worked at Dr. Maxey's office as the office manager in Paducah, Ky. She attended Harmony Baptist Church in West Paducah, Ky., and later attended Richland Baptist Church in East Peoria. She was a member of the Red Hat Society.A funeral service for Betty will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2014, at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria. Pastor Gary England will officiate. A visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, July 7, 2014, at the funeral home.
