Betty L. Copp, 96, of Peoria, formerly of Washington, passed away at 2:15pm Monday, February 5, 2024 at the Loft Rehabilitation of Peoria.

Betty was born December 27, 1927 in Toluca, to the late Frank and Lottie Rinkenberger Scudder. She married Eugene "Gene" W. Copp on April 20, 1947 in Toluca; he preceded her in death in 2007.

Surviving are her grandchildren, Dawn Rippel, Jan Rippel Donlan, Michelle Krueger, Kari Keys, and Shad Owsley; great-grandchildren, Kelsey, Aban, Joshua, Joseph, Alyssa, Amelia, Lilly, Lindsey, and Bryan; great-great-granddaughters, Promise and Kaitlyn; and her bonus family, Marilyn Cary and Becky (Tony) Todd.

She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Jack, Stanley, and Chester, Scudder; her sisters, Barbara Goodwin and Susie Shores; and her children, Edward Copp, Sandee Pender, and Terry Hendrickson.

Over the years Betty worked at the Mac Hy Market, and later in the office at Joos Realty. She was a devout Catholic, active in the Women's Catholic League of Peoria and St. Patrick Church in Washington. She loved the Lord, her family, and her little dog, Chewey.

Cremation rites will be accorded.
