Obituary East Peoria - Betty F. Chrisman, 74, of East Peoria, died at 8:55 PM on Friday April 19, 2013 at OSF St Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on April 14, 1939 in Alton, IL to Clarence and Isabell Gries Kempf. She married Donald Chrisman on July 14, 1962 in Peoria. He survives. Also surviving are one son, Dennis Chrisman of East Peoria and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one brother William and her parents. Betty worked in the classified ads department at the Peoria Journal Star until 1967. She then stayed at home to raise her son Dennis. She was a member of St. Monica's Catholic Church in East Peoria. She loved traveling and taking road trips with Don to Casinos around the country where she especially enjoyed playing slot machines. There will be a Funeral Mass for Betty at 2PM on Wednesday April 24, 2013 at St. Monica's Catholic Church. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place in St. Joseph Cemetery in Peoria. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria is handling arrangements.
