Obituary Bessie F. Scott, 97, of East Peoria. After a life lived in service to others, Bessie passed on to be with the Lord at 4:45 am Thursday, June 15, 2017 at her home with her family by her side. She was born May 29, 1920 in Tennessee to Julius and Merica C. Brewer. She married Clarence Scott on May 26, 1944. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1988. She was also preceded in death by her parents; son, Billy; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Surviving are 3 children, Linda (John) Fulkrod of Florida, Carolyn (Butch) Sunkin of East Peoria, Robert (Nova) Scott of East Peoria; 8 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; many great-great-grandchildren; sister, Marie Love; and daughter-in-law, Vicki Scott. Bessie worked at Bergner's for 25 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ Northwest in Peoria. Memorial donations may be made to Church of Christ Northwest. Her funeral service will be at 11 am Monday, June 19, 2017 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in East Peoria with Pastor David Spillman officiating.
