Benjamin "Ben" W. Baechler, 36, of Creve Coeur, passed away at 1:55pm Tuesday, August 24, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. Ben was born October 12, 1984 in Peoria to Jack and Donna Baker Baechler; his dad preceded him in death in 2018. Surviving is his mom, Donna; his kids, Mariah and Dakoda Baechler, Ashton Pierce, and Zenzin Bailey; his sister, Alisa (Dewey) Pedersen-Davis; step-siblings, Tom (Candy) Harvey, RC Harvey, Janet (Todd) Hadsell, and Mandy (Chris) Stilson; aunts and uncles, Theresa Miller, Rodney (Cheryl) Baker, Shelia (Jerry) Lee, George Baechler, Sami (Chris) Rowe; and his nephews and nieces, Kolten, Lily, Melody, Lucas, Haley, and Billy. Ben loved the outdoors, whether he was fishing, riding dirt bikes, or camping at Ozark Outdoors (his favorite place to be). He was a Rivermen and St. Louis Blues superfan, loved listening to music and watching monster truck races. But more than anything, he loved spending time with his kids and his family. Ben's big personality will be so missed. A funeral service will be held at 11:00am Friday, September 3, 2021 at Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington. Visitation will be from 5-7:00pm Thursday, September 2, 2021 at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family c/o Donna Baker.
