Obituary Barney E. Noel, 61, of Washington, passed away at 8:55 am Sunday, Feb. 5, 2017 at his home with his family by his side after a 5 year battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 21, 1955 in Peoria to William and Mary Helen Bennett Noel. Surviving are his mother and step-father, Mary and Joe Hendrix; daughters, Ivy Watts and Amber (Eric) Land; 5 grandchildren; sister, Debbie Diaz; and step-brother, Joseph (Amanda) Hendrix. He was preceded in death by his father, and brother-in-law, Patrick Diaz. Barney was a US Army Vietnam Veteran. He loved fishing and was a big NASCAR fan. Cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Deiters Funeral Home and Crematory in Washington is in charge of arrangements.
