Obituary EAST PEORIAa"Barbara Joyce Washburn, 76, passed away at her home in East Peoria at 10:02 AM on Thursday, December 2, 2010. She was born Barbara Joyce Lauer on Nov 4, 1934 in Peoria, the daughter of Leta Marie (Stout) Lauer and George Jacob Lauer. She married Tilton Washburn on February 16, 1957. Surviving is her husband, Tilton Washburn of East Peoria; son, Steven (Sheila) Washburn of Athens, IL; step daughters, Linda (Ray) Jennings of Arlington, TX and Vicki Lewis of Medford, OR; grandson, Andrew Washburn of Athens, IL; and several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers. A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Deiters Funeral Home & Crematory in East Peoria. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Burial will be at Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria.
