Their brother, Bill Hagood, also preceded her in death in 2021.
Barb never knew a stranger and showered everyone she met with love and kindness. She worked for many years at Washington State Bank as a teller and enjoyed many close friendships with co-workers and customers. Throughout her life, Barb was involved in many clubs and activities such as Newcomers Club, card clubs, bowling leagues and Bible studies. A talented seamstress, Barb spent countless hours sewing for her family and friends over the years and made many beautiful quilts. She was a devout Christian who made it a priority to read her Bible and pray each day and was a member of Washington Christian Church for many years. As one of the many ways she helped others, she was a regular blood donor at the American Red Cross.
Even as her mind began to fail her, she remained cheerful, optimistic and grateful. Whenever she saw you, you could count on a warm compliment or friendly greeting such as "I'm counting my blessings, and you're one of them!" or "I love you to pieces!" Her friends and family will forever cherish the special things about Barb and remember her always with love in their hearts and a smile on their faces.
